Afternoon Tea.

A long standing tradition here at Waterford Castle, Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed in the elegant surrounds of The Fitzgerald Room, The Leinster Room, Entrance Hall and The Conservatory.

Our decadent Castle Afternoon Tea is the perfect way to treat yourself or a loved one, and to take some time out from the world.

Allow yourself to enjoy the delights of Afternoon Tea in the Castle’s bright and airy Conservatory while overlooking the formal gardens and the Island’s grounds (perfect for those sunny days), or soak up the decadent surroundings of one of the most luxurious hotels in Ireland and unwind in the Fitzgerald Room.

Take cover from the elements of the Irish weather and warm yourself at the grand fireplace that takes centre stage of the Castles original Entrance Hall. The fireplace wears the Fitzgerald Family Crest with pride, reminding all that for over 300 years Waterford Castle was a family home, a feeling that lives on in the minds and ways of all staff.

All our Afternoon Tea treats are handmade with care and precision by our own Pastry Chef in the Castle's Kitchen. We take pride in sourcing and using the finest local ingredients, and our menu changes seasonally to make the best of fresh and in-season produce. We cater for specific dietary requirements such as vegetarian, gluten free etc (advance notice required).

Our selection of treats and pastries change seasonally but may include macaron, gateaux, choux buns, meringue or fruit tartlets. We curate our tea selection to pair with the seasonal menu and can include teas such as breakfast, green tea with jasmine, peppermint, black tea with berries, Rooibos, Darjeeling etc.
