Waterford Castle Golf Club (WCGC) enjoys idyllic seclusion located just 10 minutes from Waterford City, and 90 mins from both Dublin and Cork. WCGC is Ireland’s only true island golf course, located on the picturesque 310-acre private Island Resort and accessible via complimentary Resort Ferry.

The 18-hole par 72 Des Smyth designed course covers an area of over 200 acres on the Island Resort. The golf course combines the best of parkland and woodland areas including numerous scenic and strategically challenging features.

We can offer packages including dining at the Island's Kings Channel Golf Clubhouse, from casual bistro offers to elegant evening events in the adjoining function room. For those travelling from afar or looking to extend their stay, special golf and society rates are available for the Island Resort’s 45 modern self-catering Lodges. With 3 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, balcony, living room and fully equipped kitchen, the Lodges are perfect for groups and golfers with families. For smaller groups special packages to stay or dine in the luxury Castle hotel can also be arranged.
