Tennis

Challenge yourselves to a game of tennis on one of our outdoor tennis courts. Rental Rackets and balls are available at the Golf Club House.

Croquet

Try something new and enjoy a traditional game of croquet on the castle lawn. Croquet is sure to be a fun activity for all the family to enjoy. 

Equipment and game rules are available at reception. 

Island Trails

The Island is home to an amazing array of wildlife and country fauna, and our nature trails around the Island are the best way to experience them. Each trail offers the opportunity to spot some native wildlife such as deer, hares, pheasants, foxes and swans.

Picnic in the Grounds

Arrange a Waterford Castle picnic basket, made with care by our award-winning kitchen team. Relax in a place of your choice on the vast grounds of our 310-acre Island. Pre-booking 24 hours in advance is required by contacting reception on 051 878 203.
